The exhibition and catalogue of "Two Generations of the Rainbow: Fahrelnissa and Nejad" provides the audience with the opportunity to examine these artists' adventures which started together but continued separately. The exhibition contains 180 works through which it is possible to view the lives and creative processes of Fahrelnissa and Nejad which started in Istanbul under the same roof but continued worlds apart in every sense. Featuring the most powerful works of each period of the artists' creative lives the exhibition also bears witness to the most important rupture in the history of Turkish painting visible through their works of art. It is as if the exhibition and the catalogue documents this extraordinary period.
